About Me - Ross Schram von Haupt Photography

Thanks for taking the time to view my work! I am a landscape photographer based in Bellingham, WA that primarily shoots throughout the Pacific Northwest; though I love traveling throughout the US and internationally when possible. I was born and raised in Washington, mostly taking nature for granted until I picked up a camera and learned how lucky I am to live in PNW.

My goal as a photographer is to try and capture scenes in a way that evokes an emotion or feeling in you, the viewer. I am always trying to find the perfect conditions for a shot where the light, time of year, weather and more all come together. It can be pretty challenging to predict those factors, but when they cooperate it can be EPIC, which is what keeps me heading out whenever I can. It's what makes landscape photography difficult, time consuming and a total blast!

My photography adventures have a lot of other perks as well - for example you are usually spending as much time as you can in gorgeous, amazingly epic locations. I love spending countless hours researching new areas to explore and the excitement of arriving and running around scouting out the area to find compositions. I am also very lucky to usually be accompanied with my overly patient girlfriend, other photographers I have met along the way and from time to time my wonderful mother and her boyfriend.

When I'm not shooting or exploring outdoors, I'm usually working for my day job to keep funding these adventures. I also spend a good amount of time drumming, playing sports, watching TV and I enjoy lifting weights. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message anytime!!
